BIOGRAPHY
Tony Dona is an Executive Director and co-leads the Greystar-Thackeray business along with Greystar’s commercial real estate business, which currently includes industrial warehouses and life sciences. He also serves on the Greystar Global Investment Committee along with the Greystar Executive Committee and Board of Directors. He is based in Dallas, Texas.
Before joining Greystar in 2021, Tony was Co-CEO and co-founder of Thackeray Partners, a diversified private real estate company based in Dallas. Since its inception in 2005, Thackeray sponsored five private equity funds where Tony was responsible for overall strategy, partner communications, deal sourcing, asset management, and fund administration.
Prior to founding Thackeray Partners in 2005, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Crow Holdings, which included oversight of both Crow’s real estate business and its diversified investments. Tony was with Trammell Crow Company, Crow Holdings, and other Crow-affiliated entities for almost twenty years.
He is on the Board of the Real Estate Center at Southern Methodist University, a member of the Advisory Council of the University of Texas Real Estate Center, and a Research Sponsor for the Zell Lurie Center at Wharton. He is also on the Advisory Board of the Dallas Real Estate Council and a member of The Salesmanship Club of Dallas.
A graduate of Southern Methodist University, Tony also received a Master’s in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
